Requirement: Leading horse-food supplier, Baileys Horse Feeds - part of the FH Nash group - urgently needed to replace a collection of ageing temporary office buildings with a single purpose-built structure. The company was keen to provide modern, high-quality offices for its employees.

Solution: Joe Venner, Operations Director at Baileys Horse Feeds, says: "We didn't want to go to the time and expense of building a traditional bricks and mortar premises - but we wanted something that was permanent. We were aware of the reputation of Portakabin and the quality of its buildings, which we'd used in the past, so they were the only company we approached for a solution."

The firm needed spacious accommodation that could house all of its office-based staff in a single building. The development - on the site of its feed production mill - was to be completed in two phases, so it was important that the building could be seamlessly extended after phase one. The solution chosen was the Titan Building System, which offers very large, flexible office space within an attractive, architecturally designed structure.

Baileys Horse Feeds purchased two Titan Building Systems and a single Titan building. The flexibility of the Titan Building System enabled all of these buildings to be linked together to create a single office complex. The building now houses 20 staff across a range of functions, from marketing to engineering and production. As well as general office space, the building incorporates a kitchen and toilet facilities.

Like all Portakabin buildings, the Titan Building System comes with a unique 5-year product warranty and 20-year structural warranty. What's more, the Portakabin Customer Charter promises that all its buildings will be delivered on time and on budget - and if the company ever fails to meet this commitment, it will provide an additional six months' product warranty free of charge.*

Portakabin delivered and installed the buildings in two phases on the agreed dates. Portakabin specialists also installed an air-conditioning system and fitted carpets in the offices and vinyl flooring in the kitchen and toilet areas, to enhance the working environment.

Joe Venner adds: "Our new offices are vastly superior to anything we've had before, and everyone is very happy with their comfortable new surroundings. The new building looks very smart from the outside too, and gives a great first impression for visitors to our site."
