Customer: Mawsley Village Surgery, Kettering NHS Trust

Location: Mawsley, Northamptonshire

Requirement: With the construction of new houses in three commuter villages near Kettering progressing at a rapid pace, Mawsley, Broughton and Cransley urgently needed a dedicated interim health practice, until a traditional building could be completed.

Solution: Kettering NHS Trust recommended Portakabin to the surgery as it was the only company that was able to meet all the NHS's specifications for healthcare buildings in such a short space of time. Portakabin worked with the head GP and Practice Manager to design a building that met all of the necessary specifications. Within two weeks of the plans being finalised, Portakabin had constructed a 235m² building, which includes two consulting rooms, a treatment room, a dispensary, customer and staff toilets, two general offices, a staff room and a waiting room.
