Walls
The walls are formed from galvanised steel sheet and welded to a steel frame structure.
Floor
The floor consists of a welded galvanised steel frame, with a plywood floor, covered in a gavanised steel sheet skin.
Roof
The roof consists of a welded steel frame with an outer welded galvanised steel skin, convexed to shed water.
Doors
Double doors, of a welded steel construction are provided in one end of the building. These doors include hinges with security bolts, secure locking mechanism and anti jemmy features, all providing a secure arrangement.
Finish
The building is painted externally and internally in a durable paint system.

Floor 5.00kN/m2 Roof 0.75kN/m2 Basic wind speed (To meet requirements of BS 6399: Part 2)
Thermal insulation
The building is of a single skin construction, and therefore has no insulation.
Fire performance
The Portastor building is of a mild steel construction and is therefore fire resistant.
Foundations
Portakabin staff will provide advice on foundation loads and positions required for Portastor buildings.
Transport and handling
Portastor buildings are transported by lorry and are craned into position. Crane handling is facilitated by lifting eyes at the module corners, using a four-leg sling. Portakabin staff will provide full advice on the procedure.
