The Yorkon building service is based on the technically advanced Yorkon steel frame modular building system. Profitable growth has stemmed from an ability to understand our clients’ needs and successfully complete a wide variety of contracts ranging from the health and education sectors, retail outlets, to large office developments.

In order to further strengthen our team we are currently looking to recruit a Project Controller, based at our head office in York, to work within our design and build business area which manages projects throughout the UK.
 

As a key member of one of our Commercial Project Teams you will be involved in all aspects of Project Management from inception through design, to the construction and final handover of a wide variety of building projects. Carrying responsibility for coordinating the considerable technical, planning, manufacturing and subcontract resources available, you will enable buildings to be constructed to a high specification within the agreed time scale and budget.

A sound knowledge of relevant IT systems and software is also a prerequisite.

This is a demanding position requiring a professional approach and the ability to deal effectively and efficiently with clients, colleagues and subcontractors, both by telephone and in person.  Regular site and customer visits throughout the UK will be required.

Preferably with a background in the construction industry, you will be able to demonstrate effective knowledge and experience of project management and building contract administration supported by an appropriate qualification in a construction related discipline.
