Location: North Ruislip, Hillingdon

Requirement: Warrender Primary School needed a new classroom for its reception pupils, so that the existing room could be turned into a new ICT (Information & Communication Technology) suite.

Solution: The school governors made their choice based on Portakabin's unique warranty package, which covers the building fabric for five years, and the structural load-bearing elements for 20. This gave the school complete peace of mind, since any problems could be put right quickly under the warranty.

Portakabin designed the open-plan classroom to meet the needs of the school and provide light, airy teaching accommodation for both pupils and teachers. The building also features an entrance lobby, which leads to a toilet block with specially designed low-rise toilets - perfect for small children.

"We met with a number of modular-building providers, but the specification of the Portakabin building was far superior to the competitors' offerings, and the warranty package was definitely unique in the market - we couldn't find anyone who could provide anything on a par with this.
