Supply chain and logistics specialist Wincanton plc operates the Britvic National Distribution Centre (NDC) in Leicestershire, where it needed to consolidate a number of teams into a single building to improve communications and efficiency. A suitable high-specification working environment was needed for these teams, but with just eight weeks to get new facilities in place, Wincanton knew it would take an exceptional supplier to get everything completed on time.Solution :

The new Duplex building, with its attractive grey exterior, blends in perfectly with the adjacent large warehouse on site. To simplify the whole project and make life easier for the Wincanton project team, Portakabin provided the air-conditioning system, access ramps and steps and all the office furniture required for the new building.
“Our needs on this site are constantly changing,” explains Stephen, “so rather than expending capital on these items, it made much more sense for us to hire them. Then, if we ever need to rearrange or relocate the building, I’m not left with a load of furniture to store – I can simply return it to Portakabin.”
