Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club needed to provide additional seating to cope with growing crowds at its Molineux stadium, and ordered a new stand to seat an extra 900 people. The club’s existing toilet facilities were not designed to cater for the numbers of supporters using this new stand, so the club set about sourcing additional facilities.Solution :
The timescales for getting the toilets in place were extremely short, and when a local supplier let the club down at the eleventh hour, Stadium Manager Steve Sutton needed to find an alternative supplier very quickly. The toilets needed to be installed before the new stand could be built, and any delay would disrupt the whole project.
Aware of the quality requirements of the club, Steve contacted Portaloo and was delighted to learn that they could deliver the buildings in a matter of days. The company’s reliability is guaranteed by its Customer Charter, which promises to deliver all buildings on time and on budget. For complete peace of mind, if the company ever fails to meet this commitment, it offers one week’s free hire for every day it is late.*
The club hired two toilet units – one male and one female – and both buildings were delivered on the agreed date. The installation required some skilled crane work to fit the units into the restricted site. Once the buildings were positioned, the new stand was then constructed around them.
Steve Sutton says: “We have been very happy with the Portaloo facilities, which provide precisely the quality of accommodation we require. They have coped well with capacity crowds and we have never had any problems. As long as there is a requirement for the additional stand we will retain the toilets to supplement our facilities on big match days.”
