WoWo started out by offering employment for around 100 seasonal workers on the company’s soft fruit farm in East Sussex. The business then diversified into offering working holidays for young people from all over the world. WoWo provides accommodation for the workers in a caravan park on its farm, and provides work for its guests at food-related businesses in the area.
Many of the young people who come to work there are students on gap years, travelling from as far afield as Eastern Europe, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand. To cater for these guest workers, the company needs to provide robust, high-quality toilets and shower blocks throughout the year.
When the firm first established its caravan park, around 20 years ago, it approached a number of portable toilet providers, including Portaloo, to find the best facilities available. After trying some of the competitors’ units, WoWo soon settled on Portaloo as providing the highest quality facilities and the best service.
Since then the company has continually had Portaloo units on hire, upgrading them as improved facilities have become available. At present WoWo has two large toilet and shower blocks on hire, plus another two units that the company purchased from Portaloo.
Paul Cragg, Managing Partner at WoWo, says: “Over our long-term relationship with Portaloo we have been very happy with the level of service provided and with the generally high standards of the units supplied.
“The toilet and shower blocks are very robust and we have been impressed by Portaloo’s modular technology. The units are very easy to maintain and keep clean, which is essential when they are being used year-round by large numbers of people.
“We keep going back to Portaloo because of the good service levels we receive and the suitability of the products for our requirements. Together these put Portaloo well ahead of the competition.”
