Throughout the racing season, the prestigious racecourse needs to provide high-quality toilet facilities for its guests. When a fire closed the main Ebor Grandstand, a damaged ventilation system left the Racecourse in need of an emergency restroom solution just days prior to the John Smiths Cup meeting.Solution :
Portaloo was able to provide first-class amenities within 48 hours which met the exceptionally high expectations of race clientele at what is a key event of the flat racing season. The John Smith Cup attracts around 45,000 visitors.
Tony Lee, Operations Manager at York Racecourse, says: "When we needed urgent help following the fire and ventilation problems within the main building, we knew we could rely on Portaloo to facilitate the supply and installation of high quality facilities, even at such short notice.
"The service we received from Portaloo was outstanding, with a project manager on site within two hours of our call and all units in place and fully installed within two days. Without the professionalism and efficiency displayed by the Portaloo team our guests would have suffered untold inconvenience."
The Racecourse, which has seven units on permanent hire throughout the racing season, required six additional top-of-the-range units, including one, which Portaloo craned into an extremely awkward position on the second floor balcony.
All Portaloo buildings are constructed entirely from steel to provide maximum quality and durability. Toilet blocks feature full-flushing amenities, with easy-clean fittings, surfaces and floors, as well as high quality sinks, taps and fixtures.
Tony continues: "Race goers expect first class facilities and Portaloo has consistently delivered toilets and washrooms that meet our customers' expectations. We have used Portaloo for a number of years, and continue to be impressed with the standard of service we receive particularly when we were faced with an emergency at our busiest time of year."
